The Fort Lee Film Commission web site is a source of information on early American film making. I spoke with Larry Gelbart after screening his "And Starring Pancho Vlla" to thank him for plugging Fort Lee as "Motion Picture Capital of the World circa 1914". Mr. Gelbart was very gracious and supportive of the Fort Lee Film Commission and he was happy that his use of "factual history" gave Fort Lee a plug. Mr. Gelbart was gracious enough to accept the Fort Lee Film Commission 2003 Cliffhanger Award and sent a letter of acceptance which was read at the Film Commission Annual Fund Raiser Dinner on October 31.
