Film & prop warehouse on Linwood Ave...

Back when I was a kid living at 2183 Linwood Ave - probably some time in the very late 50s there was an old film & prop warehouse on the corner of Linwood Ave & Main Street across from Holy Angels Academy....One Sunday afternoon (in that time frame) it caught fire and burned to the ground....One of my buddies from Our Lady of Fatima grammar school later informed me that he and friends had been in the place rooting around for 'stuff' and found - he had a wooden spear of the type hollywood, (Fort Lee) associated with the Roman Army in films (those were his bona fides). Anyway they found some old film and lit a match to serve in the place of a safer light with which to see what was on the film...The film being of the old cellulose type caught on fire and according to my friend the film was thrown onto a pile of film on the floor which caused the conflagration.....An arson solved almost 50 years later....I don't know if my friend was there or if he heard this story second hand, but the cause of the fire is plausible.....Under the Studios & Films header I found a picture called the "Triangle Studios"...the location seems to be right....if one were walking down Linwood towards Fletcher Ave the studio would be on the left and Holy Angles on the right...I know this intimately as I used to walk to and fron Our Lady of Fatima by the same route...from first grade thru sixth, when the family moved to Wayne, NJ prior to Mediterranean Towers replacing Holy Angels...That was too much for my late father to bear...both his sisters went to H.A. I would like to get in touch with anyone who has memories and stories of this time in Fort Lee History. I lived in Fort Lee from shortly after my birth in Nov, 1949 until 1962.....my e-mail address is chrisbroz@yahoo.com
