Hello again Chris, I lived in Fort Lee until I went into the Marines in 1957. Upon my return to the area I moved to Englewood Cliffs and spent just about five years on the police department there. Wanting to get our of the area I moved to Arizona the end of 1965 and joined the Phoenix Police Department. After 24 years I retired and went to work for Southwest Airlines in Phoenix which I still work for. Oh,I remember the family name and the store. In fact I remember when it opened right after world war II. We purchased our first ten inch Crosley tv from Deals sometime around 1947 or 48. My parents were both friends of your family. Harry and Cathern Hawkins. My dad worked for the Borough as did my uncle Charlie. My father and all five of his brothers were members of the Fort Lee Vol. Fire Dept. We lived at 2024 Hoyt Ave. and as I stated my sister and I both attended Madonna and Our Lady of Fatima and Fort Lee High. Again reference the TV store I can remember as a small kid standing in front of the store watching the television sets in the store window. Then we would go down Main St. to fire house number one and watch the television they had in the house. Ok, get back with me if you want and we can discuss the area of Fort Lee,Coytesville etc. Brings back alot of memories on this end. Harry....
