I grew up in paramus and know that tower quite well...There was a real mill on that location started in i think 1740 or so...it made linen and woolen blavkets during the civil war..Our local patriots used to hold meetings there and then get drunk (only guessing at that but thats what still happens today when a bunch of guys get together, no?)...it was undoubtably raided by the English and her hired mercinaries during the revolution since they did come out of Hackensack via paramus rd 4 times on foraging escursions.there is a photo of the original building that iv'e only seen 2-3 times and cant find it again yet., it looks like a big old dilopidated house on pillings with several broken windows. As for ot being used by the early filmakers, there is a book out about early Fort Lee movie-making and i'm sure Easton's mill is in it...Dont remember what the name of it is but a little searching should produce it...John
