MOVIES SHOOTING IN JERSEY SEEK VOLUNTEERS

Two SHU Theatre in the Round  alumns are putting out a call for help!

Bill Timoney ('80) and Ed X. Young ('82)

are acting in a low-budget horror movie that films in NJ next month.

The film, SEA OF DUST, is an attempt to make an "old-fashioned" horror movie in the style of the

British company Hammer Films, the company behind

DRACULA HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE, FRANKENSTEIN CREATED WOMEN

& many others that starred genre icons Christopher Lee & Peter Cushing in the 1960s.

SEA OF DUST needs production assistants & interns for every department, from costuming & special effects

makeup to camera & lights PA's. Especially needed are people interested in publicity & location scouting.

Also, the project has yet to secure a few key locations & props, including an old barn, a horse & buggy

and an isolated lake.  Finally, background extras are needed to play zombies & the tortured damned in Hell**

SEA OF DUST stars genre actors Tom Savini & Ingrid Pitt.

Mr. Savini is well-known for his work as a horror special effects makeup wizard;

he designed effects for FRIDAY THE 13TH, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE II

& the original DAWN OF THE DEAD. He directed the remake of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.

As an actor, he's best-known as "sex machine" in FROM DUSK TILL DAWN,

and has appeared in CREEPSHOW I & II, both versions of DAWN OF THE DEAD,

and the upcoming LAND OF THE DEAD.

Mr. Savini voiced himself in an episode of THE SIMPSONS titled "Worst Episode Ever."

Ms. Pitt began her career in such films as

DR. ZHIVAGO and A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM.

She became notorious as the "Hammer Queen of Horror" for her starring roles in

THE VAMPIRE LOVERS and as the title character in COUNTESS DRACULA.

Her other films include WHERE EAGLES DARE (opposite Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton),

THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD, and the cult classic THE WICKER MAN.

The production office for SEA OF DUST is in Cranford, but filming will take place throughout the state.

Participation in the production is on a volunteer basis - it's an opportunity to learn film production,

gain experience, make business contacts, and have Fun!  Interested parties should contact production coordinator

 Megan Mcgowan at megan.mcgowan@gmail.com.

More information may be found on the film's web site, SEAOFDUST.com.
