Thanks for the suggestions - we always look to select films that reflect the taste of our audience - however, outdoor summer films need to be carefully selected for content. As a film commission we will never show a title that has been edited for content thus we have more leeway in showing films you seek in our indoor setting. Many of us would love to screen "Ed Wood" outdoors but we have to be concerned abnout language content. We have screened such classic films as "Goodfellas" at our "Movies on the Hudson" series that is held in the fall, winter & spring at the Fort Lee Historic Park on Hudson Terrace. This series begins again on September 24 at 1pm with a screening of a clasic film "Force of Evil" starring John Garfield. The theme this fall is "A View from The Bridge: The George Washington Bridge in Film" - the series is sponsored by the Port Authority of NY & NJ and is the official kickoff to the 2006 75th Anniversary of the opening of the GWB.
Our selection process for summer films starts in November so send us some suggestions. We feel our selections have been good in that we screen some classics (Mr. Smith Goes To Washington), great films for kids (SpongeBob) and we have our share of offbeat films. Thanks again for the input.
