OUCH Tom! The meaning behind "being a former shell of its self" only meant Fort Lee has changed a great deal and it is not the town that resides in my memory. Perhaps I should have said, "I've been told if I were to visit I would not recognize the town." Please accept my humble apology. The written word does not translate well when the verbiage is not exact.
I am very aware of the hard work that has gone into preserving Fort Lee’s rich history and have expressed that appreciation in several messages on FOL. My brother and I each own a copy of, "Fort Lee" the Film Town and the DVD, Before Hollywood, There Was Fort Lee, N.J. I was there for a short time in 1989 and visited Constitution Park which is a beautiful commemorative to the motion picture industry as well as those associated with it. When time allows I have every intention of visiting the Fort Lee Museum and greatly appreciate your kind invitation.
While I have your attention, can you tell me where I can locate a copy of, “Ghost Town?”
Thank you for your time.
Zoey
